Our client is a Confectionery Company and is seeking to hire
the services of a proficient Production Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary focus of this position (Production Manager) will
be managing the day-to-day activities of the commissary to ensure that the
highest safety and quality standards are achieved. The Production Manager will be responsible
for efficient and timely production for this confectionary, Food Science and
marketing needs. Additional
responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising
performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and
resolving problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Excellent customer service skills
· Ability to
execute high volume production
· Excellent
communication and organization skills
· Excellent culinary and food processing
skills
· Experience
in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
· Proficiency
with automated reporting systems including, but not limited to Inventory, Food
Cost, Scheduling, Time & Attendance and labour preferred
· Ability to
maintain an efficient operation and troubleshoot and report any malfunctions of
equipment
· Ability to
supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
· Maintain
sanitation standards throughout the work area
· Ability to
work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing, and weekend shifts.
KEY SKILLS/WORK EXPERIENCE
· Bachelors
Degree Operations Management, or equivalent
· 4/5 years of
commissary or bakery experience
· Strong
leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role
· Financial
skills and understanding
· Strong
leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
· Strong
understanding of baking and food science.
· Financial
skills and understanding
· Strong and
effective communication skills
