An indigenous Nigerian company that deals in alternative power
products (manufacture and sale of inverters, UPS and batteries) and consumer
electronics is recruiting for the following position:
Job Title: Sales Executive
Location: Onitsha, Nigeria.
Purpose of role.
The Sales Executive is responsible for discovering and pursuing new sales
prospects and maintaining customer satisfaction. The goal is to meet and
surpass the company’s expectations to drive rapid and sustainable growth.
This person will also be responsible for promoting the company’s products
and services to customers and negotiating contracts with the aim of maximising
sales profits.
Job Duties
·
Conduct
market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
·
Make
initial customer contact through visits or calls.
·
Actively
seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and networking.
·
Gather
market and customer information and provide feedback to the company on buying
trends.
·
Identify
new markets and business opportunities and arrange meetings with potential
customers.
·
Maintain
good relationship with the company’s existing customers and new customers by
providing support information and guidance.
·
Develop
detailed territory plans.
·
Achieve monthly/yearly
targets as will be assigned.
·
Prepare
sales reports by analysing and summarizing information.
·
Review self-sales
performance from time to time with a view to improve it.
·
Properly
address sales objections, in order to get customers to purchase products.
·
Ensure high
level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
·
Assess
customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
·
“Go the
extra mile” to drive sales.
·
Remain
knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options to customers.
·
Take up
other duties as assigned.
Candidate
Requirements
The
ideal candidate MUST possess the following minimum qualifications/attributes:

BSc. /HND in any
field.
·
Female/Male
·
Proven work
experience as a Sales Executive or similar role.
·
Basic understanding
of sales principles and customer service practices.
·
Proficiency in
English.
·
Thorough
understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
·
Must be a fast
learner and have a passion for sales.
·
Solid communication
and interpersonal skills.
·
A customer-oriented
approach is essential.
·
Must have a good
entrepreneurial mind.
·
Must be a self-leader and possess a
high level of maturity at all times.
