Action Against Hunger | ACF-International works to save
lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable
communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and
advocacy.
Job Summary
The Nutrition officer will directly report to the Nutrition
Deputy Program Manager and will play a key role in supporting the
implementation of the Nutrition component (porridge mums) of the cash transfer
program of Action Against Hunger in Borno State, Nigeria. He/she will
facilitate program coordination, monitoring and evaluation of nutrition and
health related activities. The Nutrition Officer will also coordinate the
training, capacity building and ensure proper management of Nutrition and
Health Assistants.
The successful
candidate will;
Have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Health, Nutrition,
Nursing or related field. Higher level Degree preferred.
Have a minimum of 2 years working experience in similar
setting, with at least 1 year in conflict/insecure context.
Have experience in CMAM, IYCF and community mobilization.
Be flexible, able and willing to frequently travel to
villages and stay on the field.
Have the capacity to supervise and coach health workers.
Have excellent Microsoft office, statistical proficiency and
project management skills.
Be fluent in English and other local languages preferably.
Have previous experience in managing mobilization in
different interventions (i.e. cash transfers, WASH, Nutrition).
