Collaboration:                        Head Technical Operations and Finance & Account Manager

Job Summary
Facilitate the realization of EPL’s corporate strategy through the design and implementation of effective Human Resource Management policies, procedures and processes.
Coordinate administrative and business development activities and ensure efficient service delivery organization-wide.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

STRATEGIC DUTIES:
Define people management and human resource development strategies for the organisation.
Champion the formulation and effective implementation of recruitment strategies and plans to identify, select, hire and retain the best talent to meet organization manpower needs.
Articulate and develop HR policies and procedures for the organization and ensure compliance by staff.
Articulate both short and long term infrastructural requirements for all departments and establish an acquisition plan to meet these requirements.
Communicate the specific and general goals of the department to subordinates and ensure activities are aligned with the overall goals and objectives.
Collate all payroll inputs and send same to Finance and Account in time for monthly payroll preparation.
Foster a conducive working climate by building and maintaining proactive relationships with employees to understand and manage their needs and concerns, consistent with the organization’s corporate goals.
Prepare and implement the department’s annual budget.

TACTICAL DUTIES:
Liaise with the CEO and the Company’s legal adviser in the drafting and/ review of third-party service provider’s contact.
Act as the main point of contact and coordinate the activities of third-party service provider (HR, facilities maintenance, and Legal) to the organization.
Ensure compliance of third party provider with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Liaise with the various functional heads to plan and forecast the Company’s workforce requirements.
Periodically track, monitor and update organization structure and manning levels.
Keep abreast of advances in human resources management and advice the CEO of proposed changes/ initiatives for the organization
Provide HR related advice to the senior management and line managers as required.
Handle all matters relating to employee appointment, promotion and discipline of employees.
Identify employee learning and development requirements and establish programs to bridge gaps identified.
Coordinate all administrative functions in the organisation by ensuring provision of efficient and effective services to support company’s core operations.
Oversee the management of facilities and utilities company-wide.
Review and authorize key expenditures/ transactions of the department in line with approved department budget and organization’s manual of authority.
Ensure all physical assets (e.g. buildings, furniture, equipment, etc.) are properly maintained and secure.
Review departmental performance and conduct performance appraisal for the Business Development Officer and Front Desk Executive as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Competency and Skill Requirements

  • Intermediate proficiency in use of MS productivity tools (especially Word and PowerPoint).
  • Basic data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate organizational skills
  • Advanced communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good level of self-confidence.
  • Attention to details.
  • Intermediate problem solving skills.


Minimum Qualification (Education & Experience)
First degree or its equivalent in any discipline; preferably social sciences or administration.
Four (4) years relevant experience of which at least three (1) must have been at a supervisory.
Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).
Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage
