RS Hunter Limited-Our Client, an insurance firm owned by Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their various business endeavors and manned by seasoned professionals who have proven integrity in the Nigerian Insurance Industry is currently looking for a Chief Financial officer.

 Job Title: Chief Financial officer

Location: Lagos

 Job Responsibilities


  • Advanced financial and accounting knowledge including in-depth understanding of finance best practices, International and Nigerian Financial reporting standards
  • Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
  • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
  • Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
  • Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
  • Implement operational best practice
  • Report financial results to the board of directors
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
  • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
  • Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions

Strong business and financial acumen
Strong oral and written communication skills

Educational Qualification and Experience


First Degree in Accounting or related field
Professional Finance and Accounting Certificate e.g. ACCA, ICAN
Minimum of 15 years experience with not less than five (5) years in similar role with a financial institution
