Global Software vendor is looking for a strong Business development managers in Nigeria. They are an international brand and leaders in their discipline. The role will pay up to $120 000 fixed with commission on top. (neg.)



Job Title: Business Development Managers

About the Role

In your role as a business development manager, your core focus will be to sell their solutions to Banks and Financial Institutions across West Africa. Your role will include both new business and account management responsibilities.

We are looking for senior sales professionals who are comfortable working with a solution sales approach, knowing that their company can address over 70% of the software required to meet a typical bank´s operational requirements.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • You will be involved principally in New Business development, managing all aspects including: senior level relationship management, product demonstrations, contract negotiation, sales closing, product setup and delivery.
  • You will be expected to be work with a Challenger Sales approach, developing business relationships with decision influencing senior executives, discussing their objectives, pains and needs in a manner that is informed by credible knowledge of the banking industry.
  • You will work closely with an Inside Sales professional who will support you in this role.
  • You may be required to take on some account management responsibilities.
  • You will work closely with the Presales team to coordinate product demonstrations and workshops for prospective clients
  • You will analyze and understand customer insights and market trends; adapt, communicate and evolve strategies based on these changes
  • You will travel to customer sites to conduct sales activities
  • You will accurately forecast future business

Required Experience:

  • You are a strong solution sales professional with a proven record of achieving / exceeding annual quota target of a minimum of $5 Million per annum
  • You will have 5 to 10 years of sales experience In Nigeria with strong existing client relationships, preferable within financial services. We expect you to be comfortable working with complex multi-tier organizations where the sales cycles are long and consultative.
  • You are based out of Lagos, Nigeria and will be required to travel across West Africa
  • You should be able to demonstrate C-Level Relationships across the Top Tier of the Financial Services Sector in both Nigeria and West Africa at large
  • You should be able to demonstrate how you have completed complex sales campaigns and talk through the entire sales campaign from inception to closure.
  • You will need to demonstrate how you have achieved the annual quota consistently or provide sound reasons for not doing so.
  • You have managed an extended cross line of business team such as Pre-Sales and Professional Services in progressing sales campaigns
  • You can demonstrate independence and that you can work remotely from Regional Hubs
  • You need to have a sound understanding of NOTAP and demonstrate how this process has been managed before for international vendors.
  • You are fluent in local language and English

MUST BE ABLE TO DISCLOSE PAYSLIPS TO SHOW COMMISSION AND TARGET ACHIEVEMENT

Only candidate who have sold Enterprise Software into Banks or other Financial Services organizations will be considered for this role. Candidates who have moved from company to company will NOT be considered, the minimum time spent at each company should be three to four years. You also must have proof of commission pay outs to collaborate the achieving of targets. The role is for Nigerian Nationals only.
