Alexander Nelson –A real estate development company located in Ikoyi, Lagos with international affiliations is currently seeking an Assistant Manager, IT.

Location:   Lagos

Job Description:

• Identifying potential threats to the confidentiality, integrity & availability of the system and network.

• Assign and review the work of systems analysts, programmers, and other computer-related workers.

• Monitor and advice on information security issues related to the systems and workflow to ensure the internal security controls are appropriate and operating as intended. Installing firewalls, data encryption and other security measures.

• Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.

• Configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals.

• Analyze and report computer network security breaches or attempted breaches.

• Coordinate response to information security incidents.

• Expected to stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, to anticipate security breaches.

• Liaise with external solution providers to ensure that the organization remains at the cutting edge of IT developments.

• Make recommendations for improving the company’s IT systems.

• Plan for and recommend IT policies, tools, processes and procedures in pursuit of its business results.

• Establish and review benchmark performance against international IT standards showing continued progress towards meeting and exceeding such standards.

• Training and educating users on best practices and ensuring that users keep to these standards using tools and IT processes.

• Document, manage and propose improvements in company/organizational infrastructure.

• Setup and maintain servers and manage the day to day running of the cloud and local services of the organization.

• Maintain an effective helpdesk system to quickly and efficiently capture, diagnose and mitigate IT issues.

• Manage security and threats against company data/resources using tools, policies and procedures.

• Providing any other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by any ofcompanies’ senior executives which shall not be considered inconsistent with a position of this nature.

• Ensuring that your operations manual is up to date and reflects changes or innovations that you have brought to your role.

Job Requirement:

• Must be able to successfully deliver the above goals.

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information System, Engineering, or any related discipline.

• A minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
