The General Manager, Operations is a senior management role
reporting directly to the Managing Director, with responsibility for both the
revenue and cost elements of our Real Estate projects.
The GM is responsible for the firm's marketing and sales
functions as well as the assisting the MD with managing day-to-day operations
of the business with responsibilities including effective planning, delegating,
coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable
profit making results for an organization
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and oversee the company's strategic and operations meetings to drive implementation of the agenda and goals
- Responsible for company's strategic direction as determined by the Managing Director or Board of Directors
- Responsible for company's resources and staff
- Provide direction and manage the company's shared and dedicated resources
- Responsible for ensuring that the company's deliverables are delivered effectively and efficiently by the group outsourced service provider
- Provide direction for and manage the company's initiatives as directed by the Managing Director
- Ensure that the company's operations and services are efficiently and effectively discharged
- Responsible for reviewing operating systems for effectiveness and efficiency
- Responsible for ensuring that the company's staff are appraised and feedback is provided on their performance in line with the company policy
- Will be required to perform client facing functions including sales, delivering presentations and managing accounts
- Responsible for overseeing and managing sales processes, procedures and operations in collaboration with the Managing Director
- Responsible for approving payments and disbursement in line with the approved operational / project budget
- Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of client related reports
- Oversee weekly planning meetings and ensure the proper and effective use of the Companies management tools
- Ensure that the company's staff are well trained and equipped to deliver excellent services to its clients in collaboration with Human Resources
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in real estate marketing or sales
- Excellent budgeting skills
- Effective project management skills
- Eight (8) or more years’ experience in land/housing/property development, property management or a related field
- Masters’ (or Bachelor’s) degree in in land/housing/property development, property management or a related field Manager Marketing & Sales
