Job Title: Manager, Web Services

Location: Lagos

Job Description


• Coordinates, develops, and implements project plans to deliver web services.

• Maintains open communication with other technology teams and planning committees to assure 
efficient processes are implemented and to coordinate projects with overlapping responsibilities.

• Provides direction, leadership, and coordination for web and application development project.

• Coordinates efforts with database administrators, network infrastructure personnel, Systems 
Development, Client Support, Helpdesk, and Training team when necessary.

• Develops and manages web development and support procedures, tools, and documentation. This includes writing scope documents, developing process documents, managing source code, and developing technical support standards and procedures.

• Participates in all phases of projects including development, design, testing and production. This requires familiarity with Web programming languages (such as HTM L, JavaScript, CSS, ColdFusion, Perl, ASP) and Web production tools (such as Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe GoLive, Macromedia Fireworks).

• Ensures that application software, database software, and operating systems are at current revision levels and ensures acceptable levels of performance and access for application systems, databases, and operating systems.

• Assists with plans, procedures, and activities to support business recovery when problems occur. This task includes such things as backup and restoration procedures, vendor agreements, data retention and restoration planning.

• Providing any other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by any of the companies’ senior executives which shall not be considered inconsistent with a position of this nature.

• Ensuring that your operating system is up to date and reflects changes or innovations that you have brought to your role.

Essential Requirements


• Excellent understanding of web portal and application development tools, including but not limited to working with CMS such as WordPress, Joomla, Wix
• Experience with visual studio, Adobe suite
• Conversant with at least one programing language (e.g. PHP,       HTML5, CSS, Javascript),
• Experience with coordinating a development team
• Up to 5 years’ experience and above.
