About the role
The Facilities Assistant will be supervised by the Logistics Officer to deliver a wide range of administrative and support functions. He/she will be assisting with facilities, premises and office management within the Humanitarian Response in Borno State including at the sub offices to ensure smooth day to day office operations and optimal functionality of equipment/assets.
About you
- You are required to have a University degree in a relevant discipline (Facilities Management or related qualification in engineering, management or business studies).
- You are required to have 3 - 4 years relevant post NYSC experience in related role.
- You are required to have experience of handling health and safety, facilities and premises management.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies, conduct and document regular facilities inspections, coordinate intra-office equipment movement and ensure adequate documentation.
- You will be required to make sure the buildings and grounds; offices and warehouses are maintained, which entails daily and weekly cleaning schedules as well as determining and scheduling repairs and safety inspections. This includes developing and implementing a facility management program including preventative maintenance, life-cycle requirements and supervising of maintenance/ repair of facilities/ equipment.
- You will be required to review performance service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met; check completed work by contractors and vendors before issuance of job completion notes. You will be required to generate and prepare monthly report on status of Christian Aid’s facilities in the Humanitarian response.
