Field Supervisors At SERAP

SERAP is in the process of commissioning a national wide survey on corruption. We are seeking to recruit field research assistants to support this exercise. The field research supervisors will be hired specifically for this short-term assignment.

The supervisors will be in charge of a group of research assistants in a set of states. They will be expected to travel widely across these states to coordinate the data collection exercise.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Participate in a one-day data collection/ research methodology workshop



-Coordinate the delivery of research materials to research assistants in the specified region/ states.



-Supervise the data collection exercise to ensure adherence to the laid down procedures and guidelines



-Conduct basic filed level quality control on the research assistants’ work



-Collect, safely handle and forward all finished research materials to the relevant SERAP staff.



-Any other duties as may be allocated by the relevant SERAP staff regarding this assignment.



 Minimum requirements:


-Minimum relevant University degree

-Demonstrable experience in supervising research assistants

-Not currently engaged in any other part or full-time employment


-Fully available for a period of about 15 days starting mid-November 2018

-Generally conversant with the geography and local language(s) of the chosen state

-The data collection will be conducted in many states of Nigeria. In your application, please identify the states/region you would wish to be posted/assigned. Please note preference will be granted to residents of the select states.

-Preferences will be given to those who are willing to travel.
