About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and target driven sales manager to develop and nurture student recruitment channels from West Africa into our US partner Universities. Based in Lagos, the successful candidate will have first class knowledge and understanding of the US education system and have considerable experience of recruiting students from West Africa to the US.
The role will involve:
Developing and implementing a long-term strategy that will deliver significant growth in student numbers to our US partner universities, in line with compliance and regulatory requirements
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, exploring wider channels of recruitment beyond traditional agent partners
Forging close relations with colleagues at our US partner universities, and with key recruitment agents and educational bodies, to ensure recruitment synergies and to share market intelligence
Presenting US opportunities to a wide range of audiences, including potential students and their parents, staff in schools, agents and partners, as well as corporate / business recruitment channels
Ensuring all recruitment stakeholders are given comprehensive training and have full and complete knowledge of all US partner universities
Tracking students progress through the recruitment and admissions journey, to ensure maximum conversion at each stage
Evaluating recruitment and marketing activities in the region and working within budgetary requirements
Delivering outstanding levels of customer service
Frequent travel across the region to develop recruitment channels and to raise
Key Performance Indicators
Achievement of set recruitment targets, including individual product line targets
Growth in number of active agents, enrolling students at our US partner universities
Maintenance of high level of service to all stakeholders
Improved conversion rates from application to enrolment for students across all channels
About You
Applicants must hold the rights to work in Nigeria
Background in and passion for international education sales
Educated to degree level (desirable - graduate from a US university)
Fluent in English (desirable – spoken and written French)
Strong track record of recruitment to US universities, with excellent knowledge of the US education system
Ability to communicate well with a wide range of audiences
Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
Demonstrated team player
Goal-driven and results oriented profile
Ability to work under pressure and to deadline, to meet challenging targets
Strong organisational and planning skills, self-motivated and committed.
Must be ready to travel extensively throughout the region
Flexibility with working hours including working over weekends when required
Experience of customer relationship management software (particularly Salesforce) is desirable
