How will you make a difference to PMI?
Head of Community is a
Senior level professional responsible for leading the ongoing development and
growth engagement strategies of the regional community, in support of the
regional business plan and priorities set by the MD and in alignment with PMIs
global community concepts and objectives.
Focus growth areas include: Chapters and
volunteers, Social Impact, DE&I, Academia/GAC and Rising Leaders, PMI EF
and Youth, as well as Membership as a concept.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Use data, market, customer, and
stakeholder insights to build an effective overall community strategy for
the European region to drive organizational growth, impact, and
stakeholder satisfaction/retention; in support of the regional business
plan and priorities set by the MD and in alignment with PMIs global
community concepts and objectives. Include definition of value metrics,
resource and budget modelling, execution responsibilities, dependencies,
risks etc. Apply segment-focused design. Leverage and protect the PMI
brand, leverage the PMI flywheel.
- In alignment with global KPIs
and targets for community, chapters, volunteers, membership, social
impact, Academia/GAC and rising leaders, Youth and PMI EF develop detailed
regional targets and KPIs that support the regional business objectives.
- Design, install, lead, and
manage a regional community team to deliver against the regional community
strategy and KPIs – oversee development of action plans that derived from
regional strategy and KPIs for the regional community function. Tracks
individual contributors and recognizes their accomplishments. Establishes
incentives to drive desired behaviors.
- Establish, manage, and monitor
related budgets and financials (including spending) and maintain
reasonable budget limits.
- Responsible for
regional Community objectives being achieved. On a monthly basis generate
and report outcomes vs plans; report issues, risks and solutions in timely
manner that impact achievement of targets.
- Manage community
escalations.
- Partners across the regional team and
global organization to ensure internal stakeholders across PMI recognize
the strategic value of the regional community and are able to partner
effectively. Work to remove roadblocks and streamline
collaboration. Collaborates across the enterprise to define and build
new community growth opportunities.
- Advocate customer needs/issues
cross-departmentally and support internal operational teams in ensuring
the smooth delivery of services to the community stakeholders.
- Contribute with regional
expertise and knowledge to globally developed strategies, solutions, and
processes for community stakeholders. Serve as a proactive internal
champion for integrated communications and the identification and
resolution of barriers and challenges that may limit PMI’s efforts to
provide excellent customer experiences, expand or strengthen
relationships, or overall speed of progress.
- Provide community related input
to Region Managing Director for regional strategy design.
- Builds market position by
understanding the current state of “community” concepts in the
marketplace, leveraging strategy, CX, customer and data insights, and
competitor information. Identifies innovative ideas and approaches by
staying current with industry and related events, publications, and
announcements.
- Speaking engagements in key
market where relevant.
- Assure appropriate protection of proprietary and
confidential data and information.
Role Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent, advanced degree such as MBA preferred, CAE desirable
- 7-10
years progressively responsible management experience in a community
environment involving multiple markets and channels, including stakeholder
engagement.
