Job Title:
Legal and compliance Officer
We are seeking a
highly motivated and results-oriented Legal and Compliance Officer to join our
team. As a key member of our legal and compliance function, you will play a
vital role in ensuring that our company operates in accordance with all
applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal
advice and counsel to the company on a wide range of matters, including
contracts, commercial law, corporate law, company secretarial, ICT Law, data
protection, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
Draft and review
legal documents, such as contracts, letters, policies, and procedures.
Provide legal
support to all the business units of the Company and collaborate with
stakeholders to address contractual issues
Working with the
Head of Legal on Board and company meetings
Track the
company’s legal contracts and regulatory obligations
Ensure compliance
with Nigerian Laws as well as guidelines, policies and procedures of regulatory
bodies and government parastatals.
Stay up-to-date
on changes in Nigerian laws and regulations that may impact the company's
operations.
Conduct legal
research and prepare legal opinions.
Liaise and Manage
relationships with external legal counsel.
Qualification:
A Bachelor of
Laws (LLB) degree
Professional law
qualification and duly enrolled at the Bar to practice Law in Nigeria
Experience
Minimum of two
(2) years relevant post-qualification experience
Must have
knowledge of Corporate Commercial Law. (Knowledge of ICT Law will be an added
advantage)

resolution, advocacy, organizational and stakeholder management skills
