Job Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead their new auditing division. As the Head of Audit, you will be responsible for establishing and growing a high-performing auditing team, ensuring quality assurance, compliance, and exceptional client service. This role demands a strong leader with extensive experience in audit and assurance, financial management, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the auditing team, building it from the ground up and ensuring the highest standards of performance.
- Oversee all audit engagements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure financial stability.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored audit services that meet client needs.
- Drive business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and expanding the firm’s client base.
- Provide strategic leadership, aligning team efforts with the firm’s overall vision and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in audit and assurance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of auditing standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to build and lead successful teams.
- Strong client-facing and relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
