Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Head to oversee the operations of our diagnostic lab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the lab, including staff management, customer service, facility oversight, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality patient care, and a focus on continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of the diagnostic lab, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Recruit, train, and supervise lab personnel, including radiologists, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure high standards of customer service by addressing patient and physician inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Implement patient satisfaction initiatives and monitor feedback to improve services.
- Prepare and manage the lab’s budget, including monitoring expenditures and revenues.
- Analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of lab results.
- Implement continuous improvement programs to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the diagnostic lab is maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to coordinate services and enhance patient care.
- Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory agencies.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans for the lab, including service expansion and market positioning.
- Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for service offerings that align with market demands.
- Prepare regular reports on lab performance, financials, and customer satisfaction for upper management.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to lab operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Life Sciences).
- A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, MHA) is preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a healthcare or diagnostic lab setting.
- Proven track record of managing lab operations and staff effectively.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in laboratory information systems and financial management tools.
This position may require occasional evening or weekend work depending on lab operations and staffing needs. The Centre Head will be expected to be on-site regularly to oversee operations and staff.
