Job Purpose

What Will Your Main Responsibilities

A Factory Engineer is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and management of industrial equipment and systems within a manufacturing or production facility.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring all machinery and equipment are properly maintained, repaired, and upgraded to avoid downtime and ensure safety.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improving plant processes to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize the use of resources like energy and raw materials.
  • Project Management: Leading projects related to the installation of new machinery, facility expansions, or process improvements
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that the plant adheres to safety regulations and environmental standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical or operational issues to minimize disruptions in production.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Managing budgets for maintenance and capital expenditures, as well as finding cost-effective solutions for repairs and improvements.

  • Training and Supervision: Leading and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring that staff is trained in operating equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Sustainability Initiatives: Implementing sustainable practices and energy-saving technologies to reduce the environmental impact of plant operations.

What You Need To Succeed

Experiences & Qualifications

  • BEng./B.TECH/HND in Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering from a reputable institute
  • 5 – 10+ years of experience in FMCG companies of repute
  • Implementing TPM or WCM/Manufacturing Excellence
