Main purpose:
The post holder will have responsibility for monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of the organisation and providing technical support to its users as well as leading on the planning, maintenance, design, and implementation of The AVOCADO Foundation’s (SharePoint and overall) MS365 eco system.
If successful, you will work collaboratively across The AVOCADO Foundation to meet the needs of different internal and external stakeholders. The role demands excellent knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies to ensure that The AVOCADO Foundation maximises its reach and develops business opportunities.
You will also oversee the development of multiple websites and apps that enable The AVOCADO Foundation to meet the team, service users and other stakeholders’ needs.
No two days will be the same and you will regularly be expected to:
- monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- provide support over the phone or via remote desktop software, helping staff or clients set up systems or resolve issues
- troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- support the roll-out of new applications and learning management software
- set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with login issues
- test and evaluate new technology.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS we'll be looking for:
- Experience in managing both front-end user experience(including but not restricted to skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REACT,...)
- Experience with back-end technical support (including but not restricted to skills in Microsoft, Azure, 365, SharePoint, Teams,...)
- Experience in managing organisational websites and web applications
- Digital project management – full life-cycle, including regular reporting
- Editorial oversight of websites
- Overseeing the use of a content management system
- Managing external suppliers and stakeholders (technical and non-technical) where required
- Business/systems analysis experience
- Knowledge of regulations around data protection and accessibility
