Job Description: We are currently hiring for the position of an experienced Operations Manager for our client, a Media/Communications/IT company in Lagos. The operation manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company and will work closely with the CEO and executive team to define and execute the company’s short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination between departments, including content production, marketing, distribution, finance, and technology.
Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, implement corrective measures as needed to achieve financial goals and drive revenue generation opportunities.
Ensure content creation processes are streamlined and aligned with production schedules and distribution strategies.
Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the organisation’s progress and identify areas for improvement.
Identify potential operational, legal, and reputational risks,and implement strategies, appropriate processes, policies, and controls to mitigate them.
Develop crisis management plans and protocols to ensure business continuity.
Cultivate relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to enhance the company’s network and growth potential.
Collaborate with the relevant teams to negotiate contracts and agreements.
Requirements
HND/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Operations Manager, with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
Experience within the media industry with a deep understanding of content creation, distribution, and audience engagement.
Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high- performing teams.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, financial management, and budgeting.
Familiarity with emerging digital media platforms and technologies.
